“Amuck In America” Tour Pass

This is a pass from the “Amuck In America” tour we did with Mojo Nixon and the Cavedogs. We were all on Enigma Records at the time and Fuji Film sponsored a tour that we went on together (they gave us all film camera’s). Two busses - a bad boy bus and the good boy bus (my key - from the “good boy” bus - is still on there!). A VERY fun tour with plenty of stories…

I need to know who was on the “bad boy bus”… it was that crazy Jack Talcum wasn’t it? That guy is a menace.

  2. Dean Says:

Oh no - he was on the good boy bus!

Was fortunate to catch this tour at the appropriately named and now defunct Cattle Club in Sacramento, CA wereupon I (along with the rest of the audience) had to vow “not to die in Exxon’s War”. A great show and a great experience!

  4. Not Dick, but Richard Says:

I was at the very same Cattle Club show as Ogre above. Holy effing hell, was it hot in there! I remember people staggering outside between bands and literally wringing the sweat out of their shirts. Lots! of sweat. And, of course, the show was all-ages, but the bar was 21+ only, so there was no way to get even a water if you were underage, like me.

This was my first “real” concert; coming from a small town there weren’t any real shows to see. As a result, I was totally flabbergasted when Joe came out while the Cave Dogs were opening up and stood right next to me along the back wall for a few songs. Holy Cow! A REAL rock star, standing right next to me. I was afraid to talk to him, I think I just kept staring at him until I creeped him out enough to make him go backstage again. Sorry, Joe.

Other random memories: “…fed him to the WOLVERINES!” intro to Bitchin’ Camaro. Mojo played almost his entire set with a gag in his mouth because of some bullshit censorship thing he was pissed about. I stole one of the tour posters off the wall, some dude in the parking lot offered me $20 for it. I’ve still got the poster, and the ticket stub, too. Bought a “Metaphysical” t-shirt, it was seriously low-grade and fell apart after a few washings. Fuji handed out some kind of coupon for a CD sampler you could mail away for- I actually did, and still have it somewhere. Some dudes in the audience kept screaming “Puking Song! Puking Song!” between songs, but the band never did go for it. Somebody (Mojo? Rodney?) threw water on the fans a few times out of mercy for the stifling heat, and I assure you, I appreciated it.

    Great show!
